Mama's minestrone
May I reinvite you for an occasional bowl of soup ? Today we have some minestrone simmmering on the stove. My grandmother has italian roots, so enjoy it.
One of my favourite bloggers is Ann Voskamp, author of A Holy Experience and I would therefore like to contribute to her project 1000 mamas here on my blog in which by thanking your mother in public you can help mothers and children in Haiti.
My mother is wonderful. She is a warchild. Already her existence is a little miracle, in the midst of the war my grandmother became unexpected pregnant at 48 and delivered her baby in a night in August with a C-section, bombs were falling on the city, the electricity went of during the procedure, but mother and child survived.
My mother and grandmother were always very close. My grandmother lived with us while I grew up. My mother and I are very close although we live in different cities, even countries, but there rarely goes a day without us talking to each other.
She is always there for me. She always knows when her help is needed and offers it with open hands.
Thank you, Mama.
Charlotte.
